A life's tribute to the Haridasa movement of Karnataka

Throughout her life, Anupama has had a deep connection to bhakti (devotion). From a young age, she has appreciated bhakti through the depth and beauty of Haridasa compositions. While select Haridasa compositions are very popular at present day, tens of thousands of compositions have faded in presence over the passage of time.

Anupama realized her true passion was to use Bharatanatyam as a vehicle to spread the joy and beauty of Haridasa compositions. Her interpretations of these songs contain a strong emphasis of abhinaya, or artistic expression. Through her raw emotional renderings, Anupama connects with her audience and transports them to a place of universal connection.
